Biography

Amanda Ureña was born in New York, New York and raised in Bronx, New York. Ms. Ureña’s parents immigrated to the United States from Santiago, Dominican Republic. Ms. Ureña attended Fairfield Univeristy in Fairfield, Connecticut for her undergraduate studies, where she studied Politics and New Media Television. After college, Ms. Ureña attended Roger Williams School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she was awarded the Dean’s Scholar Award and Leadership Scholar Award. During law school, she focused her course work and externships on public interest issues. After graduating, Ms. Ureña continued her passion for public interest by practicing Immigration Law. She has represented clients before USCIS and Immigration Courts. Ms. Ureña is fluent is Spanish.
