Travis A. Newton

Travis Newton holds a B.A. in Psychology from Clemson University and a Juris Doctor from The Appalachian School of Law which is described as a rigorous program for the professional training of lawyers that emphasizes professional responsibility, dispute resolution, & practice skills for becoming a successful and ethical lawyer. As a law student Travis Newton was a founding member of The Appalachian School of Law Christian Legal Society and a summer extern with South Carolina's 8th Circuit PDs Office under the direction of Criminal Defense Attorneys Charles Gross and Rauch Wise. Travis was admitted to the South Carolina State Bar in 2006 before starting work as an associate attorney for The Cogdill Law Firm of Greenville South Carolina. Travis was a Cogdill Law Associate for two years before founding Travis A. Newton Law P.A. in his hometown of Anderson South Carolina. Chris Cogdill remains a primary advisor for Travis Newton in the practice of law. Travis Newton Law Firm has defended thousands of clients in South Carolina Summary and General Sessions Courts and has presented oral arguments before the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
