Mildred ("Millie") V. Palmer graduated Cum Laude from University of Flordia's College of Law in 1990 with a concentration in taxation and estate planning. After graduation she went to work for Ernst and Young as a tax attorney in the Special Services Group while taking LLM classes at Chicago Kent. In 1992 she moved from Ernst and Young to Gardner Carton and Douglas where she practiced tax law. As a tax attorney attached to a large firm, Millie saw a wide variety of work in the area of taxation, charitable giving, corporate work and estate planning. During this time, she served as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Tax Law Chair and as a CNN tax law correspondent. In the summer of 1998, she left Gardner Carton and Douglas to open her own firm. Millie's practice is now divided into three areas: estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, and estate and trust administration. By bringing a personal commitment of service and excellence to each client, Millie helps clients not only identify and meet their objectives, but to position their future to exceed their goals. Millie's philosophy is to provide services that are both high-touch and reasonably priced, based on individual goals and grounded in sound theory. This practice utilizes her classic tax law training and big firm work ethic, with her passion to practice law in a meaningful way. View More ›
