I assists clients with a wide range of legal needs such as buyer and seller representation on residential and commercial real estate transactions; unlawful detainer actions; contract negotiations and disputes; commercial lease negotiation and enforcement; trademark registrations and intellectual property matters; franchise transactions and disputes; and complex business and commercial real estate matters. As General Counsel and Vice President of Seattle Coffee Company, the parent company of Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia, I assisted with the development of retail stores and coffee houses located in key demographic markets across the country and with international product distribution and licensing. I have negotiated and documented real estate transactions; franchise compliance documents, territory development and single unit franchise agreements; product development and licensing agreements; and other corporate transactions for private and franchise enterprises. Prior to entering the practice of law, I served as senior vice president of a successful and highly regarded multi-state commercial real estate development company where I was responsible for the management and leasing of a portfolio of first-class shopping centers exceeding one million square feet for institutional investors including Aetna Realty Investors and Prudential Real Estate Investors.
