Andrew J. Gerling

Attorney Andrew Gerling is an AV Preeminent rated lawyer. He is a shareholder and managing attorney at Doucet Gerling Co., L.P.A. Andy oversees the firm’s consumer litigation and small business practices. As a trial lawyer, Andy represents homeowners and businesses throughout Ohio. He devotes a significant portion of his practice to consumer protection, including foreclosure defense, abusive debt collection, and consumer fraud. Andy has experience representing consumers in matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act. He also represents clients in state and federal appellate courts. Andy graduated from Otterbein University Summa Cum Laude receiving his BA with departmental honors in political science. He went on to receive his law degree from Capital University where he graduated with distinction as member of the Order of the Curia and earning top marks in his jurisprudence class. Andy also completed an externship with a federal judge at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Andy is a member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice. He lives in Worthington, Ohio with his wife Chelse and sons Griffin and Rustin. Andy is licensed to practice law in all Ohio state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, as well as the Sixth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
