Kaitlin Foley is the managing attorney at The Colwell Law Group, having joined the firm in August of 2016. Kaitlin graduated cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University, located in Albany, New York, in May 2016. During her time at Albany Law School, Ms. Foley served as the Executive Editor of Research and Writing for Albany Law Review, was the Family Law Associate on the Moot Court Board, and acted as a Teaching Assistant in Criminal Law under the supervision of Professor Vincent Bonventre. Ms. Foley is currently admitted to the New York State Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Foley began building her legal career first in the New York State Office of the Attorney General, in the Health Care Bureau. While there she assisted claimants at every juncture of their complaint, seeking ultimately to obtain relief as it pertained to health care costs and insurance distributions. Following that internship, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Randolph F. Treece of the Northern District of New York through Albany Law School’s externship program. While there she drafted decisions of law, conducted legal research, and assisted in the decision revision process. Ms. Foley’s most notable legal internship, however, was with a matrimonial and family law firm, as that was where she discovered her interest in the Matrimonial and Family Law. During the course of that position her responsibilities ran the gamut, ranging from legal research, document review and drafting to attending court appearances and conferences with her supervising attorney. Prior to attending Albany Law School, Ms. Foley received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from The University at Albany, SUNY in 2012. View More ›
