Biography

Prior to beginning his law career, Attorney McCook worked in Corporate America for over 10 years, holding professional and management roles in finance, marketing and sales. The last position held was the Analytics Manager for Comcast Western New England where he spearheaded the analytics department. Attorney McCook left Comcast to attend law school and while in law school worked as a law clerk for the Law Offices of Bonnie C. Mangan, P.C. practicing Bankruptcy Law. Additionally, while in law school Attorney McCook participated in real estate internships at a real estate law firm and a title insurance company. During law school Mr. McCook was a certified student attorney who represented small business owners with regards to: choice of entity (i.e. sole proprietorship v. LLC v. partnership v. corporation), employment law, intellectual property protection (trademark, copyright law), contract drafting (litigation avoidance), and regulatory compliance. Fresh out of law school, Attorney McCook worked in the New Britain Superior Court as a Temporary Assistant Clerk where he provided operational support for the Superior Court in New Britain, Connecticut, in the family, and civil divisions. This support included: clerking in the courtroom for family and civil judges regarding, hearings, short calendar, bench trials and jury trials, drafting court orders for family and civil judges and assisting the public regarding court procedures relating to family, housing, civil and small claims court. In 2018 Attorney McCook started his own law firm where he maintains a general practice law firm but concentrates primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy. Attorney McCook believes that a good bankruptcy lawyer requires a broad array of skills but three of which are more important.
