Kate Wright focuses her practice on all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, family law, and estate planning, but has experience in all of the firm’s practice areas. Kate, a native of Frederick County, Maryland attended Urbana High School, and graduated cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and a minor in Spanish. Kate received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law graduating magna cum laude. During law school, Kate was a Dean’s Scholar; served as Associate Editor on the Intellectual Property Law Journal; participated on the National Mock Trial Competition Team; was a Law Achievement Scholar in Civil Procedure; and received the Highest Grade Award in Legal Writing. In addition, she represented clients as a Rule 16 Student Attorney in the Civil Advocacy Clinic and completed a judicial internship with Judge Alexander Wright, Jr. of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. Upon graduation from law school, Kate was admitted to the New York State Bar and practiced civil litigation with a prestigious firm on Long Island for two years. Kate is licensed to practice law in Maryland and New York, and is a member of the Frederick County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
