Alan Fishbein

Alan L. Fishbein is the founding partner of Fishbein & Fishbein, P.A. He was born in Washington, D.C. and has lived in Howard County since 1976. Mr. Fishbein attended Boston University where he completed its division of general education program. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from George Washington University in 1973 and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1976. Alan has been in private practice in Howard County since 1977. He is a member of the Howard County, Montgomery County, District of Columbia and American Bar Associations. In addition, he is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He is a past section council representative representing Howard, Anne Arundel and Carroll Counties to the Young Lawyer's Section Council of the Maryland Bar Association and a past chairperson of the District Court Committee of the Young Lawyer's Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. He is the past chairperson of the Howard County Bench Bar Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Howard County Bar Foundation. He is also one of the founders and former President of the Howard County Bar Foundation. In addition, he has served as a member of the Howard County Bar Association's judicial recommendations committee and as a member of the Maryland State Bar Association's Litigation Section District Court Committee. He is also an arbitrator for the Maryland State Bar Association Fee Disputes Committee. Mr. Fishbein is an active member of the community who has served as a volunteer on behalf of the Howard County Association of Retarded Citizens, the Howard County Israel Bonds Committee and the Jewish Federation of Howard County.
