William W. Thies was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 23, 1974. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Louisiana State University in 1996 and his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law School in 2001. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association in May, 2002. Mr. Thies is a member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana and American Bar Associations, the Louisiana Association of Justice, both the Louisiana and Baton Rouge Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Baton Rouge Bar Association Pro Bono Panel, The Society for the Preservation of Advocates d/b/a YaYa, Hunter's Run Gun Club in Port Allen, Louisiana. Mr. Thies is a former member of Baton Rouge's Forum 35. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District and Eastern District of Louisiana as well as all other state courts.
