Abe Mashni

Abe is a state and federal criminal defense lawyer in Lexington, KY. Abe joined Baldani Law Group in August 2014 after working as a Staff Attorney for the Hon. Judge Kimberly Bunnell in Fayette Circuit Court. While in private practice, Abe has successfully represented clients in over 20 counties across central Kentucky. His jury trial experience includes federal criminal defense, state felony criminal defense, state misdemeanor criminal defense, and personal injury. He has also handled several family law bench trials including divorce, custody, child support, and Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Abe holds admissions to the Kentucky Bar Association, United States Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Initially, his practice was diverse, including family law, criminal law, personal injury, probate, and civil litigation. He now focuses solely on state and federal criminal defense. Abe’s professional affiliations have included: Kentucky Justice Association, Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Kentucky Bar Association, and Young Lawyers Division. Abe currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In 2019, Abe was awarded the Clarence Darrow Prodigy Award by the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The award recognizes a young attorney of KACDL that has demonstrated precocious legal knowledge and criminal defense advocacy skills, as well as an uncompromising commitment to aggressively defending clients in the spirit and best tradition of Mr. Darrow.
