David S. Klein has nearly a quarter century of experience in a broad swath of complex legal issues. After obtaining his law degree in 1994, he was a practicing Family and Business Law attorney in Massachusetts for 8 years. Upon retiring from the Army with 27 years of service and relocating to Augusta in 2002, he worked at the premier law firm in Augusta, continuing to hone his skills under the mentorship of some of the most talented and respected attorneys in Georgia. He worked on an extremely broad amount of complex practice areas in both Federal and State cases, in the defense of automobile and trucking accidents, FELA, CERCLA, product liability and premises liability claims, criminal defense, general tort defense, workers’ compensation, professional liability claims for physicians and lawyers, commercial litigation, securities litigation, estate planning and probate administration. A number of these cases involved seven and eight figure dollar amounts. It is this "Big Firm" case experience, combined with small firm customer service, that sets David apart from his legal peers. Most solo and small firm attorneys will spend a significant portion of their careers gaining the type of experience David brings to the table. Today, David has narrowed his focus, choosing to concentrate primarily on family and criminal law. One of only a handful of attorneys, legal and criminal justice professionals in the CSRA to have taught dozens of graduate and undergraduate Criminal Justice courses, he was selected in 2010 as Lead Faculty/Area Chair in the College of Criminal Justice (CJ) and Security at the Augusta campus of the University of Phoenix, assisting in the launch of the University’s Criminal Justice degree program while recruiting, training and supervising the CJ adjunct faculty for over eight years.
