Robin Schmid (formerly Robin Koutchak) has been practicing law for over 30 years. She has been a District Attorney and has served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alaska. Robin has run a private practice for over 20 of those years, focusing on serious criminal defense in both State and Federal courts. Robin has practiced from Barrow to Ketchikan and Chignik to Tok. Other areas she practices are Social Security Disability, Juvenile justice, ICWA and CINA, property law, and contract law. Robin was an Adjunct Professor teaching Introductory and Advanced Criminological and Juvenile Delinquency theory classes at the University of Alaska, Anchorage from 1993 -2005 in addition to running her own Anchorage law firm. Robin earned Emeritus Status with the Michigan Bar in 2022.
